Charity Bike Ride

You raised $7,557

Sunday 4th October brought fabulous weather for over 70 riders who participated in the Coomera to the Coast charity bike ride from Coomera railway station to Burleigh Heads.

Peter Lawlor, Minister for Fair Trading and Tourism welcomed the riders and officially started the event from Coomera.  Peter’s valuable time and support is appreciated.

The event attracted riders from Gold Coasts’ elite to very young but no less eager participants, for a fun day out.

Bryce Lindores, as Ambassador for the event, lead the ’speedies’ into Burleigh.  Thank you Bryce for your support.

Will Price from One Plumber provided the support vehicle at the back, lending a hand and offering encouragement to those enjoying a more leisurely pace.  Thanks for the lollies too.

Tim and Caro Martin joined from the ‘Blanch Loop’ atop a Volkswagon Trike driven by Paul from Adrenalin Trike Tours.  Tim was delighted to be involved in the ride and the day will provide him with a fabulous story to tell his friends when he gets back to Youngcare in Brisbane.

Tim Allwood, Karen Sherwood, Alison Dore and Tania Williams deserve a very special thank you for organising the BBQ and raffle ticket sales whilst we were on the road.  Your efforts provided the event with a relevant and welcoming destination for the riders.

Congratulations to all the prize winners and thank you to each of the participants in Coomera to the Coast for raising funds and awareness for Youngcare.  You have done a spectacular job, you should be very proud of yourselves – I can’t thank you enough for your support.  Sarah.
